The fingerprints of koala, an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia are so indistinguishable from humans that they have on occasion been confused at a crime scene. This could be due to the fact that koalas and human beings are mammals even though they don't share an ancestor with humans. Koalas are marsupial mammals as compared to humans being placental mammals.

A family of people with blue skin lived in Kentucky for many generations. The Fugates are thought to have gained their blue skin through a rare genetic condition known as methemoglobinemia. Benjamin Stacy is the last known descendant of the Fugates to have been born exhibiting the characteristic blue color of the disease and lost his blue skin tone as he grew older. The Fugates are also known as the Blue People of Kentucky
